WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MEAL AND WHY?

This one is tough. I had amazing meals in San Sebastian, but meals are intrinsicly connected to the people you share them with, so for MOST memorable, I would probably pick a meal shared with or cooked by my husband. Once a year he makes me agnolotti from scratch – my faaaaaavorite :).

THROUGHOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY, HAVE YOU NOTICED A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KITCHENS THAT ARE RUN BY MEN VS. KITCHENS THAT ARE RUN BY WOMEN? IF SO, WHAT WAS THIS DIFFERENCE, AND HOW DID IT IMPACT THE OVERALL ENVIRONMENT WHILST PREPARING FOOD?

This is stereotyping and NOT a categoric fact BUT, women care about the big picture, men often are driven more by ego.

IT IS REALLY SAD TO SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING GLOBALLY. YOUNG ASPIRING CHEFS ARE LOOKING TO THEIR HERO’S HOW TO TURN PAINT INTO CREATIVITY. DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO TURN THIS DIFFICULT TIME INTO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE?

Be consistent. Show up early and stay late. Work hard. Don’t expect results overnight.

WHAT IS ONE POSITIVE AND ONE NEGATIVE EFFECT COVID-19 HAS HAD ON YOUR LOVE FOR MAKING FOOD?

Positive: People are more appreciative.
Negative: Food isn’t pretty in a box.

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN SPENDING YOUR TIME RECENTLY, HAVE YOU HAD TIME TO CREATE NEW RECIPES?

Nope, back to basics and comfort food and everything I missed making 🙂
